All About Me
Ms. Peña De La Cruz received a baccalaureate degree in Sociology from Universidad Autonoma de Mexico in 1982, prior to becoming a Massage Therapist in 2020, beginning her studies in February and practicing since June.
During her career she has been devoted to healthcare with a holistic approach, working with adults and seniors in the areas of dental health, depression, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and obesity. She has also developed, coordinated and participated in numerous binational research projects. She is a certified Community Health Worker (Promotora) in the State of Texas.
She has presented papers at the national and international meetings of health organizations including the American Public Health Association; the American School Health Association; the Society for Public Health Education; the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; and the International Union for Health Education and Health Promotion. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian.
